Quality of Life Indicators

    What does "good life" mean to you? Does the job and wealth mean a successful or good life? Well, a good life is not necessarily within that scope only. Standard indicators of the quality of life are actually very broad. These include environmental quality, physical and mental health, education and many more. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), quality of life is defined as “the individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals". Below are the quality of life dimensions adapted for the Swiss partner cities of City Statistics in 2014:



Development Indicators 

    Quality of life indicators to some extent are indicators for development of a country. This is because when good development is implemented in a particular place, it will directly provide a better quality of life to the people living in that place. Among the indicators of development are:

* Education

* Health

* Work

* Gender equality

* Peacefulness

* Pollution

* Civil Rights 

* and many more...
